1.1. Update of sustainability concepts in the school curriculum:

Review and update of existing courses to include new standards of sustainability, ecology and social issues

1.2. Raising awareness through events and conferences:

Participation and creation of partnerships for conferences with sustainability experts, social entrepreneurs and committed designers.
Organizing sustainability-focused events to promote responsible innovation and creativity.

1.3 Development and professionalization of the programs:

Emphasizing the professional approach in the Master level degree “Designer in Sustainable Innovation” to support students entering the job market.
Enabling students to develop specific expertise within the Global Design program. The idea is to specialize with specific projects (international exchange programs, professional experiences, design projects, major projects).

1.4. International Development

Continuing to develop the network of international partner universities while promoting the possibility of obtaining dual degrees.
Growth of the BESIGN community in and out of France.

1.5. Developing the synergy between the school and its students

Using the school as a learning field for students to define new spaces and new sustainable practices.
Accompanying the Student Union in its events.
Enabling students to acquire new skills related to project management, marketing, innovation and communication by creating a specific team.

BE SUSTAINABLE: Sustainable infrastructure and practices

2.1. Renovation of the premises with ecological standards

Evaluation and improvement of the energy efficiency of the existing building by using sustainable materials, systems, and integrating new energy sources.
Improving waste management and recycling systems on campus.
Encouragement to the use of public or sustainable transportation means.

2.2. Encouraging sustainable practices:

Implementing initiatives to reduce water and energy consumption, such as the installation of water-saving devices and motion sensors for lighting.
Generalising the use of recycled and sustainable materials in student projects.
Educating students and staff on the importance of sustainability through awareness campaigns and regular training.

BE CONNECTED: Collaboration and positive impact

3.1. Partnerships with industry and companies:

Establishing strategic partnerships with companies and brands to provide internships, joint research projects and employment opportunities for students.
Collaboration with local actors and civil society initiatives to carry out concrete projects that meet the needs of the community in terms of sustainability. This commits in particular the practice of “pedagogy by doing”
Encouraging students to participate in field projects that focus on sustainability, such as designing solutions for disadvantaged communities or creating environmentally friendly products.

3.2. Network of committed alumni:

Creating an alumni network, providing mentorship and experience sharing opportunities for current students.
Organizing regular events to allow alumni to connect, share their sustainable projects and facilitate professional collaborations.

3.3. Impact monitoring:

Implementation of a more comprehensive monitoring system to assess the impact of student projects and school sustainability initiatives.
Regular communication of the school’s sustainability results and successes to inspire other institutions and encourage community engagement.

3.4. Research and development :

Promoting research and development of new methods, technologies and sustainable practices in the field of design through the Fab’Azur
Collaboration with research institutes and in particular Université Côte d’Azur to carry out joint projects, interdisciplinary research, focused on ecological and social transition.

3.5: Become more prominent in the sector

Developing the entry of the school in the specific rankings.
Developing the network of partnerships in France and abroad on specific objectives.
Participation at city actions and various symposiums, fairs and other conferences on the theme of sustainable development.
