Since its creation in 2013, BESIGN School has supported tomorrow's talent on their journey into design, creation and innovation.
Rooted in an international approach and focused on contemporary challenges, BESIGN School defends a vision of design as a true lever for transformation, capable of giving shape to ideas and contributing to a more innovative, responsible and sustainable world.
Through programs designed to respond to changes in the professional world, the school develops the creative, strategic and technical skills needed to imagine new uses, new experiences and new ways of designing.

Creating today what the world expects tomorrow
Through an action-based teaching approach (learning by doing), our students work in multicultural teams on real projects, in direct partnership with major companies and institutions. They learn to combine strategy, aesthetics and sustainable innovation.
From the first year of the Bachelor's program to the Master's, our students learn by doing, experimenting and collaborating with the professional world. They develop the skills and vision needed to become the talents capable of supporting companies and shaping the uses of tomorrow.
Our curriculum leads to the Designer title, a Level 7 professional certification (Bac+5) registered with the RNCP (RNCP36106), awarded in partnership with L'École de Design Nantes Atlantique.

The school was born from the ambition of three designers driven by a shared vision: to promote design, its tools, methods and values in order to innovate and imagine viable, meaningful solutions for building a more sustainable world that benefits everyone.
At BESIGN The Sustainable Design School, we believe that the transformations our world is currently undergoing offer many opportunities to imagine a better future. Our students, teachers, educational teams, and leaders are committed to shaping and embodying the creative forces behind positive change.
The school’s mission: to train designers who will imagine tomorrow’s transformations by developing their ability to understand systems and uses, and to design desirable, viable, and sustainable solutions.
We aim to develop future designers’ awareness and understanding while strengthening their ability to collaborate and co-create through an empathetic, humanistic, and multicultural approach.
The school thus supports the emergence of new design practices aimed at transforming contemporary challenges into opportunities for innovation. Through this vision, BESIGN trains professionals capable of responding concretely to social, environmental, and economic challenges, while cultivating a systemic, critical, and committed approach to design.

Being a designer is no longer limited to aesthetics: it means designing concrete responses to the challenges of our time. Through empathy, observation and creativity, designers analyze real needs to imagine projects that preserve the environment and reconnect society with the living world.
As true actors of transition, they rethink our ways of living, consuming and producing to make them more sustainable, useful and desirable.
This is the responsible and innovative approach that BESIGN places at the heart of its teaching.

En 2015, les Nations unies ont adopté les 17 Objectifs de développement durable (ODD). Les ODD ne sont pas de simples objectifs politiques : ils redéfinissent la manière dont nous devons envisager le monde de demain. Pendant des décennies, le design a été au service de la croissance. Aujourd’hui, il est au service de la transformation.
Le designer devient un acteur stratégique dans la conduite des transitions :
• dans les limites de la planète
• en créant de la valeur durable
• en reconnectant l’innovation au monde vivant
• en pensant en termes de systèmes plutôt qu’en termes d’objets
C’est dans cette vision du monde guidée par les ODD qu’est née BESIGN, l’école de design durable : former des designers capables de transformer les contraintes mondiales en opportunités créatives et régénératrices.
