BACHELOR 1:

The first year begins with an immersion in the world of Design: culture, design tools and skills, and an understanding of design methodologies; sketching, graphic composition, computer-aided design (Adobe suite, Rhino & Keyshot), models and prototyping, introduction to sustainability principles and design history & culture). Within dedicated Design Studios led by professional designer faculty, design projects take shape, utilizing the newly acquired tools and applying design processes.

BACHELOR 2: In the second year, design projects increase in complexity and associated skills. Students have the opportunity to select elective courses such as: Sustainable Product Design, Sustainable Interior Design or Sustainable Fashion & Apparel Design, all while strengthening the interdisciplinary and sustainable approach of the program.

BACHELOR 3: This year marks a transition with two major individual projects within our Design Studios, one per semester, enriched by an introduction to user sociology and social impact. At this stage, students develop a comprehensive sustainable design project, from immersion to research, ideation to development, prototyping to the final model, culminating towards a final presentation to an internal jury. An international exchange experience with one of our partner institutions is also possible (optional) during the third year of studies.

Sustainable Interior Design
This Sustainable Interior Design elective course aims to redefine our relationship with space by exploring concepts of fullness and emptiness and using geometry to create designs. We will study construction systems, elevations, and materials to reduce environmental impact, and apply our learning through practical exercises that focus on human-centered design and universal architectural representation.

Sustainable Apparel & Fashion Design
The Sustainable Apparel & Fashion Design course explores the transformation of the fashion industry, examining its structure, key players, trends, fabric use, zero waste design, and upcycling. The course emphasizes hands-on learning through case studies and practical activities. For the first class, bring two old clothing items, scissors, gouache, fabrics, trims, and accessories for creative exercises, culminating in a fashion show.

Sustainable Product Design
The Sustainable Product Design elective is for undergraduate students interested in enhancing their knowledge of sustainable design, focusing on physical objects. The course aims to develop your unique design identity and style while exploring technical manufacturability, sustainable materials, and the entire product life cycle, all in the context of current and future climate challenges.
